JumboTask is an organizational tool intended specifically for freelancers. The application can handle a number of daily needs. The user can add and track leads they receive and store client data online. JumboTask includes an estimate editor so the user can produce an accurate estimate that includes expected purchases, expiration dates for estimates and custom items. Estimates can also be printed as a PDF or emailed. Projects can be tracked by task, with multiple task types available. The user can review company reports to see expenses, payments, invoicing, tasks, leads, hours worked and overall financial data. A built in stop watch helps the user accurate log their hours, which can be applied to individual tasks as they work. Along with estimates, the user can also generate professional invoices to mail or email to clients. Login pages, invoices, quotes and other areas can be branded with the user’s logo. JumboTask also supplies users with a simple, but effective scratch pad. The scratch pad allows users to jot down a quick note or piece of information to access later. Additional features include advanced reports, event calendars, reminders, support tickets, web classes and live chat support.
JumboTask was created by Innov. Innov was created in 2008 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company provides website development and business graphic services to clients. JumboTask is a management application intended specifically for freelancers. Rather than focus on large teams or whole businesses, JumboTask gives individual freelancers everything they need to improve client interactions and create a professional reputation for themselves.
Although JumboTask’s user interface isn’t terribly fancy or streamlined, it certainly gets the job done. The application utilizes a primarily white color scheme with a splash of green, grey, blue and a handful of other colors subtly placed throughout. The user can click on links at the top of the dashboard to access each tool. The invoices and estimates generated by JumboTask offer a very neat, organized document that can further improve the freelancer’s chances of impressing clients.
A new user can create a JumboTask account by clicking the dark grey “Pricing and Signup” tab in the upper, right hand corner of the homepage or the dark blue “Sign Up” button found near the center. The following page asks the user to select their desired membership plan. After doing so, the user is asked to provide a first, middle and last name, email address, time zone, preferred currency, username and password. The second half of the form asks the user for their credit card billing details (for paid memberships). The user must also check a small box at the bottom of the form to confirm their agreement with the JumboTask terms of service and privacy policy before completing registration.
JumboTask provides users with three membership options. The first is a Free Forever account that costs nothing and includes up to 10 leads, one client, the ability to create quotes and estimates, lead tracking tools, lead conversion tools, the ability to use a logo, hour recording and tracking features, recurring invoices and expenses, payment tracking, calendar and reminder access, performance reports and more. The mid-ranged Starter Plan costs approximately $5 per month and includes up to 50 leads and five clients as well as 1 GB of storage space and unbranded invoices and emails. The Jumbo plan costs around $15 per month and upgrades to allow unlimited leads, unlimited clients and 2 GBs of storage space.
JumboTask.com is a helpful resource for almost any freelancer. Whether the user freelances full time or only on occasion, they can choose a free or paid membership to meet their needs. The application helps users stay organized and monitor income and expenses easily.
